The caretaker health minister assured of continuous inspection, focusing on the effectiveness of screening at international airports along with additional entry and exit points. The minister emphasised the importance of implementing precautions, such as masks and distance, to reduce the spread of diseases like as corona variant JH1 and flu throughout the winter season.
It is notable that, airports, including Islamabad, now undertake COVID testing for incoming passengers, with 2% of international arrivals receiving required testing.
The corona variant JN1 variety has been recorded in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India, with mortality reported in India, which contrasts with a rise in affected individuals in the United States.
Protective steps can also help from spreading of this corona variant JN1. To prevent JN1, take precautions such as avoiding sick persons, strategically masking in narrow spaces, hand-washing, enhancing ventilation, and keeping track of local transmission levels.
