Realme 12 Pro launch Date Confirmed.Realme has finally released the date for the global launch of its upcoming 12 Pro series of phones. A new teaser poster has revealed that the phones, which are competitors to the Redmi series, will go on sale on January 29.
In addition, Realme has confirmed that the Realme 12 Pro series will feature the remarkable Sony IMX890 50-megapixel camera. As the launch date draws near in two weeks, enthusiasts can expect the brand to release more specific information about the Realme 12 Pro lineup in the weeks to come. One notable feature of the upcoming Realme 12 Pro+ is its periscope telephoto camera.
There will be a notable difference in the telephoto department between the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+. The 12 Pro will have a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, while the Pro+ will have an OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera supporting 3x optical zoom. Both models will have the same primary camera, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens.
With support for up to 6x lossless zoom and an amazing 120x digital zoom capacity, the Realme 12 Pro+ goes one step further. The 12 Pro will include a 16MP front camera for taking selfies, while the 12 Pro+ will have a more potent 32MP selfie camera.
In the global market, these models are expected to offer users up to 12 GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256 GB. The Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will be powered by different processors; the former will have the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip and the latter will have the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. Both devices are expected to have a 5,000 mAh battery with impressive 67W fast charging capabilities.
Running Android 14 and powered by Realme UI 5, the Realme 12 Pro series will dazzle with its 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED display that delivers FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. These smartphones prioritize security with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
In terms of aesthetics, the 12 Pro models will come in eye-catching hues including Submarine Blue and a shade known as "Navigator." In addition, the Realme 12 Pro+ will launch an Explorer Red version that is specific to it, meeting the varied design preferences of its consumers.
